The article presents an verview of Resin-Based Composite (RBC), their composition and properties for use in dentistry. Topics discussed include the combination of camphorquinone (CQ) with a tertiary amine used as an initiator system in the commercial visible light-activated dental resin materials; a study which investigated the light transmission and micromechanical properties of bulk fill materials (BFMs); and two types of BFMs available in the market, viscous and flowable.
