OC14.01: Do chorionic villus sampling (CVS) or amniocentesis (AC) induce rhesus immunisation? NNT was 905, thus theoretically 905 RhD negative pregnant women would need to be treated with prophylactic anti-D in relation to the CVS procedure in order to prevent one case of RhD isoimmunisation. We found that the RhD immunisation rate before gestational week 25 in RhD negative women carrying a fetus with a known RhD positive genotype is extremely low, even in women undergoing prenatal invasive testing.
