We agree that the genetic contribution to CTS is an important aspect to consider, discuss, and educate both patients and clinicians about and should not be overlooked when considering the multifactorial etiology of the syndrome. Because our article[1] was not a comprehensive review, we prioritized occupational risks that are frequently encountered by primary care physicians who evaluate and counsel these patients.
