The article reports on the study published in the Journal of Substance Abuse Treatment that patients with substance use disorders (SUDs) can viably be delivered a complicated grief treatment (CGT) in the U.S. The result suggests that incorporating motivational interviewing, emotion coping, and communication skills decreased cravings of substance use significantly over time. The author asserts that the effect of CGT is a promising intervention for treating anxiety disorder.
