The article focuses on a warning issued by England's chief medical officer Liam Donaldson on a possible rise in swine flu infections among older people after Christmas. It is noted that there has been a significant reduction in the number of new swine flu cases among adults in the week to December 3 to 22,000 new cases from 46,000 in the previous week. It has been observed that the group of children under 5 continue to be admitted to hospital as they have high levels of respiratory illness, which could also be caused by respiratory syncytial virus.
