The article focuses on a low-noise amplifier (LNA) developed using a commercial pseudomorphic high electron-mobility transistor. By using more amplifier stages, the LNA achieves a higher gain than the previous balanced LNAs. The input and output return losses of the LNA increase by using optimized Lange couplers at the radio frequency input and output ports.
