The article presents a study which analyzed the implementation of joint crisis plans (JCP) into routine clinical practice in community mental health services in Western Australia. The Crisis Awareness Plans (CAP) aim to improve collaboration between mental health services, community-managed organisations (CMO) and general practitioners (GP). Among the key themes identified in the study are support for CAP, purpose and ownership, and collaborative partnerships.
