(1 − x)Li 3 Mg 2 SbO 6 -xBa 3 (VO 4 ) 2 (0.0 ≤ x ≤ 0.20, LMS-BV) composite ceramics were prepared via a conventional solid-state reaction method. The microstructure and microwave dielectric properties were investigated. Li 3 Mg 2 SbO 6 and Ba 3 (VO 4 ) 2 phases coexisted well in the range of 0.1 ≤ x ≤ 0.20. Adding Ba 3 (VO 4 ) 2 to Li 3 Mg 2 SbO 6 not only inhibited the fragility but also improved the thermal stability of Li 3 Mg 2 SbO 6 -based ceramics. With the increase of x value, the ε r and τ f values of (1 − x)LMS-xBV composite ceramics gradually increased, while its Qxf value declined. Typically, the 0.9LMS-0.1BV composite ceramics sintered at 1200 °C for 5 h demonstrated good microwave dielectric properties: ε r = 10.9, Qxf = 45,100 GHz (at ~ 10.4 GHz), τ f = 2.4 ppm/°C.
