In 2022, the Washington State Legislature provided the state broadband office with $3 million to support digital equity planning for the state's 39 counties and 29 federally recognized tribal nations. Community specialists with WSU Extension are partnering with the Washington State Broadband Office (WSBO) to enhance capacity for Washington communities, especially those in rural and remote areas.
