This article presents information regarding new revels documents of George Buc and Henry Herbert. In 1627 Henry Herbert purchased the estate of Ribbesford, a manor-house just outside Bewdley, in Worcestershire, and at his death a large quantity of papers relating to the Herbert family remained in the house. Henry was evidently conscientious and methodical, and the collection must have included several revels account-books and many miscellaneous documents as well as the Office-Book into which were entered copies of licences issued to plays and entertainments.
