To conduct a prospective, pragmatic, randomised controlled trial (RCT) to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of the RISKIT-CJS intervention in reducing the frequency of substance use, compared with treatment as usual (TAU), among substance-using adolescents involved in the CJS. Participants were randomised to treatment as usual or to treatment as usual in addition to the RISKIT-Criminal Justice System (RISKIT-CJS) programme.
