This article presents a study on the synthesis of 9,9'-bifluorenylidenes and isoindigos using a reagent called DBU. The authors conducted experiments to optimize the reaction conditions and achieved high yields of the desired products. They also explored the versatility of the method by successfully synthesizing various derivatives of 9,9'-bifluorenylidenes. The findings suggest that this synthetic route could be valuable for the production of organic photovoltaic solar cells. [Extracted from the article]
