A study conducted at the Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China has investigated the effects of Qiangjing tablets (QJT) on asthenozoospermia (AZS), a condition characterized by reduced sperm motility. The study found that QJT significantly improved sperm motility and kinematic parameters, as well as mitigated the pathological symptoms of testicular and epididymal tissues. The researchers also discovered that QJT improved AZS through mitochondrial ubiquitination and mitophagy mediated by the LKB1/AMPK/ULK1 signaling pathway. These findings provide a theoretical basis for the treatment of AZS and male infertility. [Extracted from the article]
