This article discusses the importance of proper ultrasound evaluation in patients with possible endometriosis, particularly those with a retroverted uterus. The sliding sign, a commonly used ultrasound tool, may have limited effectiveness in identifying an obliterated cul-de-sac in these patients. The authors propose a new technique called the "triangle sign" as a supplement to the sliding sign. This technique involves visualizing a triangle-shaped accumulation of peritoneal fluid in a non-obliterated cul-de-sac. Further studies are needed to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy and reliability of this technique. [Extracted from the article]
