A recent study conducted by the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering in Berlin, Germany, aimed to develop a questionnaire that measures work values. The questionnaire, based on the theory of basic human values, covers constructs in the dimensions of Social, Prestige, Intrinsic, and Extrinsic work values. The study collected data from over 1,000 individuals and found that the questionnaire provided a good fit to the data, with support for strict measurement invariance. The questionnaire allows practitioners to collect information about the value structure of employees or applicants. Future research should explore the development of work values over time and consider more distinctive constructs. [Extracted from the article]
