The article details a study on the abundance of soil nematode in different forest types in Changbai Mountain, China. Four typical forest types are examined, namely mixed coniferous-broadleaf forest (MCB), dark-coniferous spruce-fir forest (DCSF), dark-coniferous spruce forest (DCS), and Ermans birch forest (EB). The study were able to identify a total of 62 genera. Results found the strong effect of horizon in nematode abundance than diversity. Fungivores which is comprised of approximately 45%-63% of total nematodes were found to be the dominant trophic group.
