The National Visitor Survey (NVS) conducted by the Bureau of Tourism Research (BTR), collects a broad range of information about the international and domestic travel behaviour of Australian residents aged IS years and over. The following article draws on these results, presenting time series data on overseas travel by Australians. Trends in domestic, outbound and inbound tourism are compared, and the main features of outbound travel for the year ended June 2003 are highlighted. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
