A recent study conducted by the University of Lleida in Spain examined the subjective and psychological well-being of Romanian adolescents over a four-year period. The study found a decline in positive affect and psychological prosperity over time, while life satisfaction remained constant. The researchers investigated the relationship between well-being and the amount of time adolescents spent in their free time, as well as their satisfaction with their free time. The findings suggest that factors related to free time do not contribute to declines in well-being, and additional research is needed to explore other variables that may impact the well-being of Romanian adolescents, especially in the context of disruptions like the COVID-19 pandemic.
