The article reports that the jump-set version of the Jump Strike Fighter (JSF) has rescheduled its initial flight for June 2008 in the U.S. The short-takeoff-and vertical landing variant was delayed due to a defect in its anti-lock braking system. A JSF officer said it is important to get them off the ground so they can get the contract under way, start building planes and start training people. The JSF or F-35 Lightning II has been criticized for being over budget and behind schedule but the Navy assures everyone that it is committed to the JSR project.
