The article presents the author's insights on the anti-imperialist position of the Workers Solidarity Movement (WSM) anarchist organization of Ireland. The author cites the WSM's definition of imperialism as the global and local dictation ability of countries to control trade relations with other nations, and adds that states that defy imperialist countries are driven by the interests of their local ruling class. The author says that being an anti-imperialist means taking sides and cites the position of WSM on military resistance to imperialism, however, the author disagrees with WSM's view that a neocolonial ruling class in a country will be just as bad as imperialist rulers. The author adds that the "would-be mini-Imperialist" label of WSM on Iraq's rulers is political cowardice.
