One of the crucial points of the plan VISIR is represented by the implementation of a numerical code in order to carrying out the simulation of the motion of LCU vessels inside a basin of a LPD ship in conditions of formed sea. In particular, assigned a seastate for the operating scene chosen (block 1), and defined the response operator (block 2) of the ship LPD, is possible to go back to the PSD (Power Spectral Density) of the associated rigid motions to the same ship (block 3). Beginning from the data of block 3 it is possible to reconstruct an estimation of the wave spectrum that establishes inside of the basin of ship LPD (block 5), this is possible one time we know the relative transfer functions of the degrees of freedom of the basin (block 4). The knowledge of the wave motions inside of the basin, and of the response operators for the LCU (block 6) allows to determine the last step: the determination of the LCU motion (block 7). This technical report describes to the mathematical model and the relative numerical implementation in order to simulate the motions and the diffraction forces operating on the model LCU which travels in the internal basin (solution of blocks 6 and 7).
