A square shaped Sierpinski Carpet ultra wideband antenna for terahertz applications is proposed in this paper. The proposed antenna contains third iterative radiator asymmetrically fed by a modified feedline and notch loaded coplanar waveguide modified ground plane. The antenna is operating over a frequency spectrum of 2.2–10.5 THz ( VSWR ≤ 2 ) . The overall antenna volume is 42 µm × 22 µm × 1.6 µm. It has a peak realized gain of 5.5 dBi along with desirable radiation patterns. The proposed antenna has advantages of wide bandwidth and compact size with respect to previously reported structures.
