Trichotichnus (s. str.) hamulipenis nepalensis ssp. n. (Figs. 95, 97, 103–105) Type material. Holotype. Male, “ NEPAL P: Mahakali / D: Darchula 1 km WSW Batar, Chamliya Khola, 2000 m, 29°52′ 01′′N 80°53′55′′E 11.VI.2005 leg. A. Weigel river-side” (NME). Paratypes. Nepal. 2 males, same data as holotype (NME, ZIN); 1 female, Mahakali Prov., Ghusa bis 1 km NE Batar, Bachtal am Chamliya Khola, 29°51′29′′N 80°54′34′′E, 2000–2300 m, 5.VI.2005, J. Weipert leg. (NME); 1 male, Manaslu Mts, E slope, Machhakhola vall., 1800–1900 m, Gumda to Lapsibot, 28°11′49′′N 84°50′07′′E, 23.V.2006, Schmidt leg. (cJS); 1 female, E-Nepal, Arun valley, env. Tashigaon 2200–2400 m, 27°37′N 87°14′E, 28–29.V.2014, Schmidt leg. (cJS); 1 male, Koshi Prov., Wald 1 km SW von Chichira, 1800 m NN, BF, 18.X.2002, J. Weipert leg. (cJS). Description (5 males and 2 females measured). Habitus as in Fig. 95. On average, body smaller (length 8.8–9.5 mm, mean = 9.3), elytra relatively narrower and longer (EL/EW 1.46–1.55, mean = 1.52, and EL/PL 2.67–3.01, mean = 2.86), pronotum in central portion coarsely or finely punctate, elytral preapical sinuation (Fig. 97) in most specimens slightly deeper and internal sac of aedeagus (Fig. 105) with distinct curved spiny patch (a) in apical portion near apical spine. Etymology. The name of this subspecies is referring to the country where it was found. Distribution. Widespread in Nepal at altitudes of about 1800–2400 m.
