Ultra Wide-Band (UWB) Antennas offer large frequency bandwidth which is beneficial for various wireless communication standards. In UWB antenna systems, the transformation from input impedance to impedance of the free space is very crucial. Hence, this paper presents a distinctive impedance coupling technique known as Coplanar Waveguide (CPW) to feed the antenna. This helps in achieving low dispersion, low radiation leakage and ease of integration with active devices. Further enhancement of antenna parameters viz. gain, directivity, power radiation etc. is attained by incorporating Meta-Material (MM) lens. The performance is analyzed at upper band sample frequency of 8.5 GHz. The gain and directivity of antenna is enhanced by 48.77% and 48.12% respectively. Moreover, MM lens incorporation has strengthened the main lobe level and fostered the power radiation. The simulation results are demonstrated using Computer Simulation Technology (CST) software.
