To implement the underwater communication between the underwater nodes (UWN) and the base station (BS), the configuration of asymmetrical duplex link is necessary. In such scenarios, the high-bandwidth optical uplink is used for the date transmission, and the acoustic downlink is used for the networking control instruction. In this paper, we provide a novel scheme to initialize a hybrid underwater optical/acoustic network with asymmetrical link. Considering the energy request of the underwater terminals in particular, BS uses the same acoustic signal in communication and detection, and UWN send the optical signal to transmit the high volume data. Main issues such as identification, underwater localization and expandability of the network scale are also discussed.
