In this paper, a broadband printed CPW fed slot antenna using superformula is proposed. The supershaped slot and the supershaped patch are used to provide additional surface current paths along the edges which also influences impedance matching. The characteristics of the antenna such as return loss, realized gain and radiation pattern are simulated and return loss is compared with the measured result. The −10 dB impedance bandwidth of the designed antenna is from 2.5 GHz to around 9 GHz with gain around 5 dB or above for most of the bandwidth.
