Pr 2 CuO 4 was prepared by decomposition of a mixed carboxylic precursor. Fluorination was done using reaction with NH 4 F under argon at 350°C. A final annealing under neutral gas at 890° leads to a black powder. Using magnetic and resistivity measurements a superconductive state is evidenced with a transition temperature at 30 K. X-ray patterns before and after fluorination show the effect of oxygen substitution by fluorine. TGA-mass spectrometer measurements confirm this result.
