Over the years, the need for high-performance analyses has increased. This led to the development of new instrumental techniques. The introduction of instrumental analysis has greatly facilitated the work of the chemist, and this is because it reduces the effort that the researcher makes for the analysis, due to the possibility of automation. At the same time, it offers repeatable and very sensitive results. However, the most painful stage remains the sample preparation. That is why efforts are being made to optimize the pretreatment steps. One of those steps is the introduction of new absorbent materials, which will easily separate the interferences, but will also eliminate losses of the desired substances during pretreatment. In the present study, solid phase extraction was applied using a molecularly imprinted polymer to determine bisphenol A in various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. t is remarkable that these SPE cartridges can be used multiple times, giving equally good results, unlike commercial ones used only once. The development of the method and the analysis of the samples were performed in an HPLC instrumentation, operating in isocratic elution mode. The results show that the MIP adsorbent can selectively adsorb bisphenol A compared to other bisphenols, and with high recoveries, and can be used with the SPE technique to determine it in real samples (with satisfactory results for around 12 times before replacement).
