New faunistic data on the occurrence of true bugs in 9 zoogeographical regions of southern and eastern Poland: the Bieszczady Mts., the Eastern Beskids Mts., the Western Beskids Mts., the Pieniny Mts., the Sandomierz Lowland, the Wielkopolska-Kujawy Lowland, the Roztocze, the Lublin Upland and the Mazurian Lakeland are presented. The paper includes the data concerning 171 true bugs species from 32 families collected in 80 localities within 58 10x10 km UTM squares. Aellopus atratus, Campylosteira verna, Chilacis typhae, Coriomeris denticulatus, Dufouriellus ater, Loricula elegantula, Odontoscelis fuliginosa, Peritrechus nubilus, Pseudoloxops coccineus, and Salicarius roseri are found for the first time in the region of the Eastern Beskids Mts., Acalypta carinata, Aradus bimaculatus, Dufouriellus ater, Grypocoris sexguttatus, Lasiosomus enervis, Physatocheila dumetorum, Plinthisus pusillus, Polymerus nigrita, and Stalia boops are found for the first time in the Sandomierz Lowland, Rhyparochromus vulgaris is new to the Roztocze, Cimex lectularius is new to the Lublin Upland, while Aneurus avenius and Prostemma aeneicolle are first detected in the Mazurian Lakeland. Additionally, new data on invasive species Leptoglossus occidentalis and Nezara viridula were also provided.
The paper presents new data on 171 species of true bugs found in 80 sites, located in 58 squares of the UTM 10x10 km network, located in 9 zoogeographic regions of southern and eastern Poland: the Bieszczady Mts., the Eastern Beskids Mts., the Western Beskids Mts., the Pieniny Mts., the Sandomierz Lowland, the Wielkopolska-Kujawy Lowland, the Roztocze, the Lublin Upland and the Mazurian Lakeland. As a result of the conducted research Aellopus atratus, Campylosteira verna, Chilacis typhae, Coriomeris denticulatus, Dufouriellus ater, Loricula elegantula, Odontoscelis fuliginosa, Peritrechus nubilus, Pseudoloxops coccineus, and Salicarius roseri are found for the first time in the region of the Eastern Beskids Mts., Acalypta carinata, Aradus bimaculatus, Dufouriellus ater, Grypocoris sexguttatus, Lasiosomus enervis, Physatocheila dumetorum, Plinthisus pusillus, Polymerus nigrita, and Stalia boops are found for the first time in the Sandomierz Lowland, Rhyparochromus vulgaris is new to the Roztocze, Cimex lectularius is new to the Lublin Upland, while Aneurus avenius and Prostemma aeneicolle are first detected in the Mazurian Lakeland. Additionally, new data on invasive species: Leptoglossus occidentalis, and Nezara viridula, as well as of rarely shown species: Campylosteira verna, Hebrus pusillus, Megalonotus hirsutus and Polymerus holosericeus were also provided. Most species were documented at the site Rzeszów-Zalesie [EA73], where 53 (including 51 new) true bugs were found and the number of known true bugs species in this area has increased to 58. The best-studied location was the vicinity of Przemyśl [FA21], where 4 species of true bugs have been collected for the first time: Aellopus atratus, Coriomeris denticulatus, Orthotylus flavosparsus, and Pinthaeus sanguinipes. Thus the number of known terrestrial true bug species in this area has increased to 284. Due to the insufficient understanding of the distribution of terrestrial true bugs in south-eastern and northeastern Poland, especially within the East Beskids Mts., the Sandomierz Lowland, as well as in the Roztocze study in these areas will be continued.
