The aim. To investigate the effectiveness of the method for estimating spontaneous movements of preterm newborns for early developmental disorders diagnosis. Tasks. 1. To outline the quality and characteristics of spontaneous movements of newborn infants (46-52 weeks). 2. To analyze the effect of prematurity, birth weight, other risk factors on the development of infants. 3. To research the correlation between the quality of the spontaneous motions and other parameters with the baby's developmental consequences. Methodology. The survey data was collected from January to September, 2016, at the Lithuanian Health Sciences University Hospital, the Clinic of Neonatal of Infants Development Observatory. During the primary visit, there were observed and filmed the general spontaneous movements, the period of fidgety movements ( adjusted age of 3 months), and during the second visit (adjusted age of 6 months) (STM major motor/ physical development) were evaluated in a Diagnostic Inventory For Screening Children DISK, 1988). Statistical data analysis was performed using the data collection and analysis package SPSS 22.Participants. The study involved n = 30 preterm newborns with gestational age 0.05). The development of the lower gestational age infants‘ movements did not pass to the biological age (all 22-27 gestational age children, 80% of 28-29 gestational age boys and 67% of gestational age children did not coincide the biological age. The discovered differences were not statistically significant (p> 0, 05). 3. 3. The presence of fussy spontaneous movements of the adjusted 3 months babies was statistically significant (*p
