Inscription(s): Plaque on front reads: "In appreciation of Sherry Kaufman for her contribution to the Ellensburg Beautification Commission. Presented to the Ellensburg Public Library, June 11, 1985." Print 2/18. Sherry Kaufman was born in St. Louis, Missouri and received a degree in Fine Arts from the Washington University School of Fine Art. She moved to Ellensburg in 1970 from New York with her husband, who was a professor at Central Washington State College (CWU). Sherry Kaufman painted impressionistic silk-screens often with children or flowers as the subject. For 15 years, she owned and ran the Gilded Lily Art and Antique store at 421 North Pearl Street in Ellensburg. This painting is currently located in the Children's area of the Ellensburg Public Library.
