The memory lessons should be perfectly understood by the pupils. The teacher should encourage the pupils to tell every clay what they did the day before, ancl what their little plans are for tlie next clay. In this way they will be able to increase their vocabulary ancl express themselves freely and clearly. They should copy the model sentences and new phrases info their notebooks and study them closely. If fhe prescribed work has been thoroughly done, a good foundation is laid and fhe pupils arc well prepared for a study of tlie more complex forms of language. Stories, questions and answers, conversations, letter writing, sentences, locals, reproduction, action work, etc., should have their place in fhe school room work to the end of fhe course. —O. M.
