EMPLOYEE SATISFACTION AND TRUST IN THE ORGANIZATION SUMMARY 82 pages, 1 chart, 16 tables, 7 pictures, 92 references. The main purpose of this master thesis is to analyze what determines organizational trust and job satisfaction in the retail supermarkets. The work is composed of four main parts, the science literature analysis, media analysis, the research and its results, conclusion, recommendations and suggestions. The science literature analysis shows differences and linkages between social trust types, introduces the main concepts that help to understand trust as a process and phenomenon, evidencing in different spaces and situations, its expression ways, advantages and disadvantages. Moreover in this part of master thesis is analyzed the phenomenon of job satisfaction, its concept, main features, benefits and advantages, relations with organizational trust. After the analysis of science literature was decided to carry out analysis of media publications. Three online internet portals (www.delfi.lt, www.vz.lt, www.bznstart.lt) analysis allowed to find out that the subject of organizational trust is rarely main in publications, which are related with trust in business. The main topic – institutional trust. Moreover, even though there are publications which indicate the importance of trust in organisations, this theme is mostly peripheral, more frequently is discussed situation in foreign countries, not in Lithuania. The analysis of media publications encouraged to realize the real situation of organizational trust phenomenon in organization in Lithuania and to understand why it is important to talk about this type of trust, if there is need to get better results of organizational performance. After media analysis, was conducted the research of organizational trust evaluations relations with social trust and job satisfaction evaluations in CJS Rimi Lithuania. To reach this purpose was prepared the questionnaire. This questionnaire was composed to confirm or deny hypothesis: 1.The higher social trust assessment, the greater organizational trust assessment. 2. The higher organizational trust assessment, the higher job satisfaction assessment. The results of the research were statistically processed with the programme SPSS 20. To determine the alignment of the Likert Scales was used Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient (in all the cases coefficient was higher than 0,7, that means, that scales used were consistent) to analyze if respondents similarly understand groups of propositions in the questionnaire, was conducted Confirmatory Factor Analysis. To analyse relations between organizational trust and social trust and between organizational trust and job satisfaction was conducted Multiple Linear Regression and Linear Regression. The results of the research revealed that there are relations between organizational trust and social trust and between organizational trust and job satisfaction. It means, that it is important for organisations the situation of trust in whole society, but these results can form an opinion that it is not important and possible to attempt greater organizational trust level when there is low trust evaluation in society. The research of the organizational trust and job satisfaction evaluations relations, shows that it is important to seek higher organizational trust, because it is related with situation of job satisfaction in organisations. The recommendations and conclusions summarizes the concepts of the science literature analysis and results of the research. The author believes that conclusions and recommendations can help for organization to improve its efficiency, to reduce staff turnover in the CJS Rimi Lithuania and to establish friendly, trusting in each other, environment.
