諧波倍頻磁旋放大器具有低操作磁 場及驅動頻的特性,然而非操作模式的 起振將造成模式競爭,進而低放大器的 輸出效能。首先應用所發展的多模式穩態 非線性程式進分析具散佈式損耗或模式 轉換波器的諧波倍頻磁旋波放大器其 放大機制。評估散佈式損耗與模式轉換 波器結構對諧波倍頻磁旋放大器的穩定性 分析。最後本計畫提出穩定諧波倍頻磁旋 波放大器,以結構簡單的散佈式阻抗取 代模式轉換波器,並增加隔管以抑制 自發性振盪。模擬結果顯示其穩定性提升 同時輸出增亦可明顯提高。 ; The gyrotron traveling wave amplifier (gyro-TWA) is a high-power, broadband, millimeter-wave amplifier. The interaction between electrons and electromagnetic waves is the cyclotron resonance maser. However, the gyro-TWA also suffers from the disadvantages of a high magnetic field requirement and a high-frequency drive source. The harmonic multiplying gyro-TWA provides the magnetic field and frequency multiplication. However, the output power, gain, and efficiency of the gyro-TWA will be degraded by the mode competition. Therefore, it is important to suppress spurious interactions on the gyro-TWA. In previous fundamental harmonic gyro-TWT designs, interaction structures with distributed wall losses or attenuating severs were shown to be effective in suppressing absolute instability and gyrotron backward oscillations. The adaptability of the harmonic multiplying gyro-TWA with distributed wall losses or attenuation severs will be estimated.
