Investment Portfolio Analysis of Private Equity Funds in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) It is a common situation in this world that in order to carry out and develop a project, a long-running business, there is a lack of funds and thus businesses go bankrupt or interesting ideas are not realized. Funding can be obtained from alternative or traditional means. If we want to improve country economy, we need to use private equity funds. Private equity funds are divided into: venture capital funds, buyout funds, growth funds, replacement capital funds. The main purpose of this work is to study the efficiency and availability of investment portfolios of private equity funds. Also examine profitability and its impact on GDP. It is important to mention that the CEE countries are not the strongest and have their own shortcomings, so they need to be expanded and popularized with the private equity funds. It is observed that private equity funds from other countries invest more in them than they do themselves Analyzing the portfolios of private equity funds operating in the Central and Eastern European region will be focused on the fund's fundraising, trends in how the fund is raised, and what investments are made in certain CEE countries and why. It is also very important whether the portfolios of private equity funds have a strong impact on a country’s GDP. We will make an assumption and calculate for ourselves the potential returns that the funds will receive, just as almost no one shares this thing publicly. It is also important to compare the level of investment in Central and Eastern Europe with other EU countries. We will first talk about all CEE countries, but later we will move on to the example of the Baltic States, Czech Republic and Poland. Statistics for 2007-2018, Invest Europe data will be used, as 2019 is not included in the survey as the statistics have not yet been compiled, but this will not affect the survey.
