In this article raises the need to reverse the traditional approach to the analysis of female prostitution, towards the most invisible, sanitized and socially innocent system actor; the plaintiff or “client”, the main holder that revalidates and perpetuates the existence of this phenomenon (Torrado, 2018). In any form of prostitution, there are demands for the fulfillment of patriarchal imperatives aimed at the commodification of women through the use and abuse of their bodies however this does not cause stigma and devaluation to fall on men, exempt from responsibility and ethical judgments for their acts usually minimized and socially normalized. All these issues have been verified in several national and international studies of the last decades of the twentieth century and the first two decades of the twenty-first century, some of which we refer to in this manuscript, and then compare them with the results of one of the last studies conducted from the perspective of the demand, in the Canary Islands, where through in-depth interviews with male consumers of female prostitution their speeches and thoughts that support them have been glimpsed ; Este artículo plantea la necesidad de invertir el enfoque tradicional de análisis de la prostitución femenina, derivándolo hacia el actor del sistema más invisibilizado, higienizado e inocentado socialmente: el demandante o “cliente”, principal sostenedor que revalida y perpetúa la existencia de este fenómeno (Torrado, 2018). En cualquier forma de prostitución se producen exigencias para el cumplimiento de imperativos patriarcales dirigidos a la mercantilización de las mujeres mediante el uso y abuso de sus cuerpos, sin embargo esto no hace que el estigma y la desvalorización caiga en los varones, exentos de responsabilidad y de juicios éticos por sus actos, actos habitualmente minimizados y normalizados socialmente.
