The total number of sequence reads were computationally down-sampled from 15M down to 10K by increments of 5M reads, for each set of samples (a- S1, b- S2, c- S3, d- S4), prior to and following OmniCleave or 0.45μm filter. % coverage: proportion of positions sequenced out of MeV complete genome; avg. depth: average number of repeats in each position of MeV complete genome.
