Colletes inornatus Cockerell, 1946 Figs 32–33, 36 Colletes inornatus Cockerell, 1945 (1946): 836. Holotype male, NHMUK; type locality: South Africa: Rapenburg, Cape Flats. Examined. [the female is here described for the first time]. Diagnosis The female can be separated from that of all other species with a normal scopa by the combination of the following characters: apical hair band of T2 about ½ width of disc (Fig. 32D–E), malar area narrow (⅓ width of mandibular base), facial fovea narrow (about width of antennal flagellum), T6 broadly rounded and disc of T1 medio-anteriorly with numerous conspicuously short hairs interspersed (Fig. 32D–E).
