Our superintendent drives a new Willys Knight which was purchased just before the opening of school. The sportsman's score so far: Mr. Burns, 40 ducks, 2 prairie chickens; Mr. Langenberg, GO ducks! 4 prairie chickens. Have you sent in your mite for the E. M. Gallaudet Memorial Fund yet? Look elsewhere in this issue for particulars. Edward Volland writes that he is now enrolled in the Indiana School for the Deaf at Indianapolis.- -The California Neivs. Mr. Church, member of the Board of Administration, was a guest of the school November 6 and he visited us in the school rooms with Mr. Driggs. We are having our library re-established. For several years two or three book cases were left in each school room for lack of space for a library. The deep, soft snow that covered the ground a couple of weeks ago afforded the tots plenty of sport—rolling snow balls and piling them up to make a fort. We had our Halloween party without the usual flaming whoopee—the big bonfire, October 31, The material for it was snowed under and too wet and the weather too disagreeable. Mr. and Mrs. Sheridan were the guests at a dinner given by Miss Olga Anderson one day last month at fhe "Sweet Shop", after which tlie party enjoyed the movies at the State theatre. Due to an oversight we failed to mention the fact that the hmo. pictures of Mott Hall and Tate Hall in the last issue of the Banner were kindly loaned by the Minnesota School. We appreciate the courtesy very much. The senior class of fhe Devils Lake High school came out to visit our school one day in the latter part of October. They listened to a talk by Superintendent Driggs and visited the various departments of flu- school. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Haley were out of the city for several weeks to be with Miss Nettie Haley who was seriously ill at Rochester, Minn. They returned ...
