An attempt of reproduction of Sovacool et al.’s “Differences in carbon emissions reduction between countries pursuing renewable electricity versus nuclear power”

International audience ; In this paper, we attempt to reproduce the results obtained by Sovacool et al. in their recent paper that focuses on the differences in carbon emissions reduction between countries pursuing renewable electricity versus nuclear power. We have found several flaws in the models and the statistical analysis performed theirein, notably the correlations performed between the fractions of renewable power and of nuclear power and greenhouse gas emissions per capita and the lack of consideration for natural bias between the variables examined.
