The 1945 Declaration of Independence was drafted and read by leader Ho Chi Minh on September 2, 1945, at Ba Dinh Square. During the drafting of this immortal document, he exchanged comments from several comrades in the Party Central Standing Committee, members of the Interim Government, and Archimedes LA Patti (a US officer in the number of Allies). The Declaration became a great national founding document, proclaiming the departure of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. The core content of Ho Chi Minh's thoughts in the Declaration was independence and freedom. Ho Chi Minh's thought of independence and freedom up to now still has historical value and current significance.
