In the 1990s, more precisely in 1989, Valentine's Day in Slovenia acquired a different meaning which had not been known in Slovenia before that. Some Slovene areas, however, did know and celebrate this holiday, known in folk tradition. Based on the data supplied by a family from Razkrižje the A. focuses on baking and collecting sweet pastries to celebrate Valentine's name day and the role of these pastries in marriage customs.
