We discuss the influence of diagonal disorder (random site energy) on superconductivity (SC) and charge orderings (CDW) in a system of coexisting itinerant electrons and local pairs, described by the (hard-core) boson-fermion model. The evolution of the ground state properties and critical temperatures with increasing disorder is analysed. One finds that both the SC and the CDW can be substantially suppressed by the disorder effects. This is in obvious contrast with the s-wave BCS superconductors which, according to the Anderson's theorem, are rather insensitive to the diagonal disorder (i.e. to nonmagnetic impurities).
