Wavelet, as a brand new tool in signal processing. has got broad recognition. Using wavelet transform, we can get octave divided frequency band with specific orientation which combines well with the properties of Human Visual System (HVS). In this paper, we discuss the classified vector quantization (CVQ) method for multiresolution represented image.
