Les troubles de la marche sont nombreux en gériatrie et les tests pour les dépister également. Cent quinze patients âgés hospitalisés ont été soumis à 7 tests cliniques de marche validés afin de déterminer si ces derniers sont adaptés à cette population lors de son hospitalisation et si les tests sont prédictifs de chutes. Seuls le calcul de la vitesse de marche et le timed up and go ont permis de séparer les patients en chuteurs ou non-chuteurs. Les autres tests réalisés ne sont pas adaptés à cette population au moment de l'hospitalisation.
