Treatment of the dimolybdenum tetracarboxylato derivatives [Mo2(O2CR)4] (R=CH3; R=C(CH3)3) with the H2TMTAA (C22H24N4) ligand in pentan-1-ol in the presence of DBU affords the new complexes [Mo2(TMTAA)(O2CR)2] (R=CH3 (1) ; R=C(CH3)3). Complex 1 has been structurally characterized.
