Une étude expérimentale a été menée sur des poutres composites constituées par une poutrelle en acier noyée dans du béton armé de fibres d'acier, ce qui permet d'éliminer les connecteurs de cisaillement entre la poutre en acier et le béton. On a effectué des essais sous charges monotones de 10 éléments de section rectangulaire, avec pour variables les pourcentages d'armatures de traction, de compression et le rapport portée/hauteur de la poutre. (CSTB).
