The present article describes the information service of a biopharmaceutical company, the Centre of Molecular Immunology (CIM), and how it is possible to evaluate goals and objectives inside the company. General aspects of CIM are outlined and the Information System is summarised in terms of five information services: library, specialised search, reports, research, and computer network An attempt is made to measure the impact of the Information System on the organization. A simple comparison between when the organization did not have an information system and some results after its implementation are given The evaluation of the information service, uses five levels on which to examine the economics of information (costs, effectiveness, effidency, benefits and cost benefit analysis) for two information services, library and reports. Recommendations to improve these services are made.
