Zugriff:
The viability of electrophilic zirconium and lanthanide metallocenes as catalysts in the regioselective ring-opening polymerizations of methylenecyclobutane (MCB) and methylenecyclopropane (MCP) to generate exo-methylene-functionalized polyethylenes was investigated. The resulting products were obtained via homopolymerization of the methylenecycloalkanes, MCB-ethylene copolymerization and dimerization of MCP.
