The purposes of the study were to investigate the distributions and differences between teen-aged judo players on the effective movements, efficient scoring-time, score-grades and grip skills. Four groups including senior high school boy (SB), senior high school girl (SG), junior middle high school boy (JB), junior middle high school girl (JG) depended on the group who participation the 2004 and 2005 Taiwan area junior high judo tournaments (TAJT). Data collections were used video records from two years of TAJT. Chi-square was used to analyze the effective movements (EM), efficient scoring time (ET), score-grades (SG), and grip skills (GS) the different between groups and years. The α level equals to .05. The findings are as follows: 1. The ashi-waza was the most EM; te-waza and penalty was second and third often junior judo players using skill in 2004 and 2005 TAJT. However, male players had tendency using the te-waza skill and female using ashi-waza. 2. The ET of junior high schools mostly fell on 0~1 min then were 1~2 min in 2004 and 2005 TAJT. As the time got longer, the scoring chances got less. The distributions of the ET for senior high groups were 0~1, 1~2, 2~3, 3~4 min. 3. In 2004 and 2005 TJJT, the general performances of SG ranges between senior high school male and female players fell on Koga, then were Ippon, Yuko, and Wazaari. 4. The main GS position of 2004 junior and senior groups and 2005 senior groups was the front grip. Then were the back-neck, back, and bake-waist. The main GS position of junior high groups in 2005 was the front lapel. Then were back, neck, back, and waist. Based on the findings, it is concluded the skill and the strategy during the competition are quite difference between gender and groups. Therefore, coach needs to concern the players’ strategy and skill during training period.
